Our new AIMsight IR microscope detects extremely small objects. Operators can quickly acquire high-sensitivity data of micro measurement targets. The system also includes a function to measure the length of microplastic particles. It achieves a 30,000:1 S/N ratio, the best in its class. With wide-field camera, automatic contaminant recognition system and many other features, it’s a powerful support for your analysis workflow.
To use this product, one of the following FTIR spectrophotometer needs to be connected: IRTracer-100, IRXross, and IRAffinity-1S.

In addition, out of concern for the environment, a T2SL (Type II Super-Lattice) detector has been adopted. The T2SL does not use mercury or cadmium, which are restricted under the European Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive. The T2SL detector, a so-called quantum infrared detector, is gaining attention as a high-sensitivity, next-generation infrared sensor.
Wide-field and microscope camera for efficient observation
The AIMsight is equipped with Shimadzu’s proprietary wide-field camera and an infrared microscope objective. The wide-field camera can observe large areas up to 10mm × 13mm, and the 330× digital zoom function enables observation of areas as small as 30µm × 40µm.
The contaminant analysis program for automatically qualifying objects is included as a standard feature in LabSolutions™ IR software and identifies measured objects with high precision using a spectral library for substances commonly detected as contaminants in combination with Shimadzu's proprietary identification algorithm
