HPLC Training

We are delighted to invite you to our HPLC seminar.
The seminar will be held at our office and demo lab in Kista, Stockholm.
Shimadzu is one of the oldest and largest worldwide manufacturers of highly advanced analytical equipment. Shimadzu`s HPLC business started already in 1978.
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) technology has been continuously advancing and more deep understanding of its principles facilitates a productive laboratory work. This training has no specific prerequisites and is designed to supports you in practical and theoretical capacity through following points:
- Get a basic understanding of the technique.
- To find an HPLC method that solves your analytical problem.
- To decide what instrument and column type suite best to solve your analytical problem.
- To avoid the inevitable pitfalls of HPLC practice.
The training is divided into two sessions: theoretical and practical. During the training we shall:
- Look at the different types of HPLC instruments and see what analytical problems they solve.
- Go through different column types and chemistries.
- Learn principle of operating of different HPLC modules (pumps, detectors etc
- Learn the basics of Software programming (Method, batches, reports, data management, principle of quantitative analysis)
- Routine maintenance and fundamental troubleshooting will also be covered. you will get basic overview of HPLC process, its mechanism, how separation takes place and how to read chromatogram.
The training will be hold by our HPLC specialist Ilya Zelikman. He has PhD in Biochemistry and over 40 years’ experience in HPLC on a wide range of manufacturers´ instrumentation and in a broad variety of application areas.
