The TOC-L series adopts the 680°C combustion catalytic oxidation method, which was developed by Shimadzu and is now used worldwide. While providing an extremely range of 4 μg/L to 30,000 mg/L, the TOC-L series support all applications from ultrapure water, drinking water, surface water and industrial effluents up to highly contaminated sewage. Numerous options enable a variety of functional enhancements. These include simultaneous measurement of TOC and TN (total nitrogen) (when a TN unit is added), the use of compressor air (when a carrier gas purification kit is added), and the measurement of gas samples and solid samples (when a gas sample injection kit and solid sample combustion unit are added). Sea water sample measurement and small sample volume options have also been enhanced.
With its TOC-4200 series, Shimadzu offers a process analyzer that, with its various modules, kits and options, provides exactly the flexibility needed and can be equipped for the most diverse applications. A selection of sampling techniques is available: from a single-stream sampler to a sample exchanger for six different sample streams, without or with homogenizer for water containing particles. The TOC-4200 stands out not only in terms of its robustness but also by its reliability. The TOC-4200 already integrates the most advanced communication channels to the control room. In addition to the conventional communication modes, a Modbus communication protocol is available. An optional web browser enables access to the instrument from any network connected computer.

The new UV-1900 UV-Vis spectrophotometer is equipped with an ultrafast scan function that enables data acquisition of 29,000 nm/min (it takes about three seconds to measure in visible region), the fastest level in the industry.
