Research has successfully focused on solid and dense materials such as metals. Recently, new challenges and needs have emerged in terms of autonomy, lightweight construction, or environmentally sustainable design, calling for a new class of materials: Polymers, composites, foams, specially engineered or bio-based materials are now attracting increasing interest, especially in dynamic loading applications. This requires adaptations or even new developments in testing techniques, which the Shimadzu Ultra High-Speed Camera HPV-X2 can support.

Hyper Vision HPV-X2
As a company with a large materials science segment, Shimadzu is sponsor of technical meeting and shows. The HPV-X2 ulta-high-speed camera can track by up to 10 Mio fps. The high resolution allows the observation of the moment after an impact test with the highest level of details ideal for DIC or even 3D-DIC analysis by 2 x HPV-X2 cameras.
