Shimadzu wins Red Dot Design Awards 2024
Four Shimadzu Analytical and Measuring Instruments Win the Internationally Recognized “Red Dot Design Award 2024”
Shimadzu has been awarded four Red Dot Design Awards 2024 in the product design category for its GCMS-QP2050 gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer, Brevis GC-2050 gas chromatograph, ICPMS-2040/2050 ICP mass spectrometer and SAGX-V series automatic universal testing system. The SAGX-V Series was developed in China to meet the country's market needs. This is the second award for a product developed in China since the cGBS-2030 gas bag sampler in 2022 and the first for a product developed in collaboration with a local startup.
The Red Dot Design Award is one of the world's largest design awards and is organized by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. In 2024, designers, design firms, and manufacturers from about 60 countries entered the awards. Based on the quest for 'excellent design and innovation'. the experts judge products based on the quality of function, the quality of seduction, the quality of use and the quality of responsibility.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in Essen in northwestern Germany on June 24,2024. An actual GCMS-QP2050 and explanatory panels showing the Brevis GC-2050, ICP-2040/2050, and SAGX-V series will be displayed in the city’s Red Dot Museum for the next year.
