Heterogeneous materials are widely used in applications involving high strain rates and complex loading conditions. In these situations, material heterogeneities can strongly influence stress distribution, wave propagation, damage, and deformation at the microscale.

Extreme Speed with High Resolution HyperVision HPV-X3
High-speed cameras typically store images in memory located separate from the image sensor. The burst method used by Shimadzu HPV cameras places enough memory to record the frame capture capacity of the image sensor directly on the sensor and links every pixel to this memory through individual connections. This configuration allows the new HPV-X3 camera to transfer signals from the pixels to memory in a fully parallel arrangement for ultra high-speed recording at 20 Mio fps.
Ultra-High-Speed Camera HPV-X2
The HPV-X2 camera can track up to 10 Mio fps. The resolution allows the observation of the moment after an impact test with the highest level of details ideal for DIC or even 3D-DIC analysis by 2 x HPV-X2 cameras.
